Bi-Fold Folding Flyscreen to BAL40
So you have installed your big sliding or bi-fold doors, and now you want flyscreens. However you are in a BAL-19 or above fire rated area. Currently there are two choices for bi-folding door and larger sliding doors, peated flyscreen or retractable flyscreen. Unfortunately these are not suitable for BAL-19 and above. Remembering The BAL19 standard for flyscreens requires the following:- Material: Screens must be made from a non-combustible material, bushfire resisting timber, or timber with a density of at least 750 kg/m³
- Mesh: Screens must have a 2 mm mesh or perforated sheet made from corrosive resistant steel, bronze, or aluminum
- Openable portions: Openable portions of windows must be screened
